La conception de l'éclairage est un sujet important mais souvent négligé lorsqu'il s'agit de concevoir un espace. Un bon éclairage crée de la profondeur et de la hauteur, des endroits chaleureux et attire l'attention sur vos zones les plus importantes. Tout est question d'équilibre entre la lumière et l'ombre et d'apporter une nouvelle énergie à un intérieur.
L'éclairage peut être divisé en plusieurs catégories - mais les types les plus courants sont l'éclairage ambiant, l'éclairage de tâche, l'éclairage d'accentuation et l'éclairage d'ambiance. Chaque catégorie d'éclairage a son objectif - par exemple, l'éclairage de travail fournit de la lumière pour l'exécution de certaines tâches telles que les études, le travail, la cuisine ou un certain nombre d'autres activités, tandis que l'éclairage ambiant (également appelé éclairage général) est utilisé pour éclairer uniformément un espace. Il est important d'utiliser tous les types d'éclairage en combinaison les uns avec les autres pour créer l'espace le plus chaleureux et accueillant possible.
