Francesca Smiraglia is an Italian designer based in Milan and southern Italy, specializing in lighting and product design. Born in 1983, she graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 2008 with a focus on industrial design, particularly furniture and lighting. Driven by a constant desire to expand her knowledge, Smiraglia embraces innovative design-thinking methodologies, refining her expertise to bring a deeper awareness of light’s role in space and human experience. Her current work as a lighting designer spans the interior design, retail, and hospitality sectors, where she crafts thoughtful lighting solutions that enhance environments and user experiences. In product design, Smiraglia explores the conceptual and anthropological aspects of design, examining the relationship between humans and their surroundings.
